Paul Mutch is the Habitat Restoration Specialist with the City of Winnipeg’s Naturalist Services Branch, supporting habitat restoration and long-term ecological management across Winnipeg’s natural areas. Trained in Ecology, he completed his Master’s research on urban tall grass prairie restoration and has spent two decades working with prairie ecosystems. Paul has served as the branch’s Burn Boss for 15 years, helping plan and deliver controlled burns within a municipal operating environment where public safety, smoke management, and interagency coordination are central
