Ken Morrice

Ken has 20 years of experience in the Community Pastures in Manitoba. He has been with Association of MB Community Pastures (AMCP) since 2016. He moved over from the PFRA program when it was dissolved. He is the Operations Manager at AMCP which entails everything from Water Maintenance to Co-Lead for their Burn Program!

Ken has been involved with fires since 2000. He has 20 years on the local Volunteer Fire Dept until his retirement and then numerous controlled Fires on various pastures. He has experience with everything from line worker on fires to Burn leader.

In 2024, Ken began representing AMCP on the CPPFE steering committee.

Ken enjoys the results of a successful burn and seeing how the grass can rejuvenate as well as the way it can help control the brush encroachment. This then increases the grazing for the cattle that we run on their Pastures.
